Good news from ZL8X team:
"In the last weeks we decided to take some 6m equipment with us which will organized by ZL hams. The spare station will serve from the beginning as the 6m station. Besides a K3 and an ACOM 1000 it will contain a 5 element yagi and a rotator being put on a 10m mast. We are not sure what we can expect on the magic band but we will run the station as a beacon whenever possible, we will put the station near the cafeteria where there is always anyone available and we will watch the DX cluster network for possible openings. Equipped with a BGAN modem for Inmarsat we have the possibility to be online in the DX cluster 24/7 to get an immediate feedback of our operation from our audience."

** New DXCC activation of PJ4, Bonaire **
India gets 6m again
Amateur Radio operators from India have once again been allocated use on 6 meters. The new allocation on 50-54 MHz includes activity on the following modes: F1B, F2B, F3E and F3C. "We will be trying to get clarifications on why A1A and J3E are missing but more importantly J2B for AFSK modes", says VU2PTT, Prasad. VU operators with General Class license can now operate with 400 watts on HF, which is up from the previous 150 watt limit. (The Daily DX via anonymous source) [OZ6OM dx news]

PJ4 - A multi-national team of 15-20 operators is being formed to be active from Bonaire on 10-24 October "in anticipation of the new DXCC status on 10 October 2010". The current list of operators includes DJ8NK, DL9USA, K6AM, N0VD, PA3GVI, PA8A, PA8F, PE2KY, PE2MC, PG4M, PJ4GT, PJ4LS, PJ4NX, W0LSD, W4PA and WP3UX. They plan to be QRV on 160-10 metres SSB, CW and digital modes from six locations around the island. "Due to the time of year, 6 meters will not likely produce much activity", they say, "but it will be a consideration". The group has been granted use of Radio Netherlands relay station's "impressive aerial park, which provides up to 21 dBd gain, during their dead hours", i.e. between 12.30 and 18.30 UTC on a daily basis. They expect to utilize this opportunity on 30, 20, 15 and 17 metres. All of the QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the bureau through the services of Global QSL. Further information, updates and log search will be published on the expedition's website (www.bonaire2010.com). [TNX N0VD]

Claimed scores for the WPX CW Contest 2010
K5ZD info that the raw claimed scores for the WPX CW Contest 2010 are now available online at http://www.cqwpx.com/claimed.htm?mode=cw
"The listing shows raw scores as calculated by the log checking software prior to any checking. This should give participants a good indication of their category placement at the World, Continent, or Country level. Score reductions of 2% to 15% (or more) are possible, so we will have to wait for the log checking process before final results can be announced.
There are 3,520 logs represented. This includes all but 10-15 paper logs that are still in the typing process.
Scores can be sorted by continent and category. A search function is included so you can quickly locate a particular score.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the WPX CW Contest this year. Conditions were not the best, but we still came very close to meeting the record log submissions from last year".
SOAB HIGH (1) EF8M........19,246,008 (RZ3AZ)
SO10M HIGH (5) AO3T...........658,356 (EA3AKY)
SO10M LOW (4) EF5K...........323,750 (EA5DWS)
SO80M LOW (4) EA3GXJ.........440,980
AS15M HIGH (6) EA5FID.........715,360
Enhorabuena a todos.

Dias aburridos en 6m.....
3/7: C56E y W5UWB
4/7: 9K2YM (#168) y 8 K(1,2,3,4)
5/7: TF3EE
9/7: 3 K(2,3)
10/7: 3 JA

Worked 9K2YM dxcc #168 on 50 MHz
Gracias Yasser!

Worked JW7QIA dxcc # 167 on 50 MHz
Voy a 50.098,5 y nada.

Esa misma tarde trabajé a W4SO, CO8DM, algunos W4, W5 y luego se abrió hacia la costa oeste trabajando a N8GZ (Arizona was#40) y W7CE (WA, was#41).

AO3T qrv IARU r.1 50 MHz contest

pasaran a saludarnos....
