Katsumi, JF1OKX will be QRV as 9J2KK from Lusaka
beginning July 1. Activity is on 80 to 6 meters, and possibly 160
meters, using mostly digital modes, with WSJT and SSTV, with some CW
and SSB as well. He will be active mainly on weekends and on

Worked JW7QIA dxcc # 167 on 50 MHz

Show time! the magic band did it again and suddenly appeared JW7QIA. I worked him easily with 559 reports at 19.22 gmt. He worked a number of EU stations and heard USA too.

La fiesta continua y la lista de paises sigue subiendo, esta vezha caido JW. A las19.15, justo en el descanso del Chile-España, he encendido la radio y he visto en el cluster que JW7QIA estaba trabajando estaciones europeas. Una primera escucha de las balizas y nada. Voy a 50.098,5 y nada. A los pocos minutos oigo como CT1HZE hace un qso en esa frecuencia. Yo pensaba que era Joe cuando para mi sorpresa oigo el qrz de JW7QIA. Le llamo y a la primera ! 559/559 ambos y el pais #167 ha caido. :-)

Todavía me faltan varios que están activos: 9K, HP, TI, YN, KL7, ET, DU, S2, YI, HR, 9M2, 9M6, HS, YB, VK, HL, C6, 4U1ITU,... cual será el próximo? Veremos mañana que tal se comporta la capaE.

Yehawwwww ! this morning is great, with Asia and Africa being worked from EU: BA, JA, BV, DU, EX, UK, XV, A9, ST, etc.

At 07.44 i have worked EX8MLE with 559 signal. It's a new one for me (#166).

At 15.34 worked J28AA on 50.107 Mhz for dxcc # 165. He is still in with 529 - 559 signals. Great conditions this season on 6 meters.

IARU R1 50 MHz contest 2010

Ya ha finalizado el concurso de 6 metros y realmente la banda parecían los 20 metros en un fin de semana de concurso cualquiera de HF. En ocasiones era muy dificil encontrar un hueco donde llamar, QRM, splatters, ruido, la banda llena desde 50.070 hasta 50.300...

Personalmente no me gustan estas situaciones, para ello ya tenemos los concursos de HF, pero a pesar de ello empecé el concurso con ganas y a las dos horas llevaba ya unos 150 QSOs. Entonces empezó una apertura colosal entre Europa y América del Norte y paré los contactos en el concurso para dedicarme a hacer DX. Esa misma tarde trabajé a W4SO, CO8DM, algunos W4, W5 y luego se abrió hacia la costa oeste trabajando a N8GZ (Arizona was#40) y W7CE (WA, was#41).

Estuve un buen rato intentando escuchar a KL7/KB7Q pero no hubo suerte.

Esta mañana la propagación volvió a estar muy larga y he trabajado a JE1BMJ y a BA8AG. He continuado a ratos el concurso, pero siempre vigilando el DX.

Al final he terminado con 282 qso y 470.291 puntos.

AO3T qrv IARU r.1 50 MHz contest

I will be qrv in IARU R.1 50 MHz contest as AO3T from JN11AK. CU in the test.

Estaré activo en el concurso de la IARU R.1 de 50 MHz con el indicativo AO3T este fin de semana.
Mis mejores actuaciones han sido un 2º lugar en el año 2006 y un 6º en el 2008. Veremos si hay buenas condiciones y podemos por fin ganarlo. Si me escucháis os agradeceré el qso, y aquí no te descuentan QSOs por hacer únicos, aunque siempre es mejor que hagáis más contactos.

MERCAHAM 2010

Este sábado estuve en el MercaHam 2010, la feria
de radioaficionados más importante del suroeste de
Europa.

Estuve acompañado de mi padre EA3LL y juntos
colocamos un puesto de venta de segunda mano con
material diverso, componentes electrónicos, accesorios,
y equipos para V-U-SHF (entre ellos transverters para
144 MHz, 432 MHz y 1.2 GHz).

Y fue una buena idea, a parte de limpiar cajones,
pudimos esperar a que todos los amigos de la radio
pasaran a saludarnos....

Creo que este año ha merecido la pena ir. Las instalaciones
son magníficas y la asistencia superó con creces las
expectativas, yo creo que más de 500 radioaficionados
pasaron por allí.

Así que enhorabuena a la organización y espero que el
año próximo nos veamos allí de nuevo, merece la pena.

Big Opening on 6m to NA June 10th

Yesterday evening we had a big opening to NA, from 20.00 to 22.50 gmt i worked 60 stations from W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W8, W9, VE3. I heard also a W0 calling me too weak to get the call. Signals were quite good, some peaking s7-s8.

This morning there were good conditions to Asia too, and at 04.57 i worked BA7IO again. He is QRO and has a good signal at 10.000 Km, and at 05.00 UK9AA was 559 here.

FP ST.PIERRE & MIQUELON QRV on 6m 5-14/7

Operators Paul/K9OT and Peg/KB9LIE will once again activate Miquelon Island between July 5-14th. Callsigns will be FP/homecall. Activity will include the IARU HF Championship Contest (July 10-11th) as two Single-Operator entries. They will operate CW and SSB on 80-10 meters with a possibility of 160m and 6m, if conditions are good. They hope to have internet access from the Motel de Miquelon. C5 GAMBIA QRV on 6m 25/6 to 6/7

W7XU will be active from The Gambia (C5) in a few weeks, arriving 25 June and departing 6 July, with the usual focus on 6m. The group will be operating from what should be an excellent location on the beach, so they hope to make many QSO's. Look for them on 50.103. The callsign is still pending.

Turks and Caicos Islands, VP5 qrv on 6m 11 to 17 June

Jim, WB2REM and Glenn, KD2JA will be operating the special call VQ5M from the Turks and Caicos Islands from June 11 until June 13 2010 during the ARRL June VHF Contest. MERCAHAM RADIO 2010

Este fin de semana se realiza la feria de radioaficionados más importante del suroeste de europa, la MERCAHAM RADIO 2010.

Se celebra en Cerdanyola, cerca de Barcelona, en el Polideportivo Guiera, que tiene unas extraordinarias instalaciones de hasta 3000 m2 de zona de exposición, salas de conferencias, bar y un enorme parking.

Hace ya 26 años que se realiza, como pasa el tiempo.

This morning i get up early and have a nice open to Asia, first i heard EY8MM with s5, and after some minutes i worked at 05.08 gmt XV1X (OL21) on 50.081 with incredible good signals s5 to s9.

I was looking for DU and BY and at 05.33 gmt BA7IO started just over noise and worked him for new one # 163 on 6m.

Sorry i had to qrt after it going to work, conditions were great for DX to Asia at that moment.

I will try tomorrow again, still need to work HL, DU, BV and other dxcc.

At 18.11 i have worked the expedition to JT, signal appeared for 30 seconds, enough to exchange 599 both ways, qrg 50.113.

Missed today some other dx as 9K2YM who i heard very well on bpsk and cw. I have to practice a bit more bpsk, i never thougth i would need to use this mode on 6m....

Two new stations reported qrv on 6m, EK6RSC and YI1RZ, worked today by A92GR.

EX8MLT, EX8MLE have been also worked this morning by several stations as well as EY8MM and UK8OM.

I'm still looking for JT0 expedition, yesterday they were 419 and could not work them :-(

Si no has trabajado todavía este dificil país, recuerda que mañana es el último dia de la expedición. En estos momentos llevan nada menos que 67.247 QSOs con 20.288 indicaticos, 161 DXCC y 38 zonas CQ.

NEW INFORMATION FROM 3C0C WEB

We know the importance of an activation in 160m from the island of Annobón.
The operators have undertaken a great effort, both physical as financial, in preparing this Expedition but, unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, we have been unable to go in April.

We will head to the island of Bioko the following Thursday, 3rd of June and we will begin our activities the next day as 3C9B. We will spend as much time as possible on the radio. There we will pick up our supplies to live on the island of Annobón for 14 days.

On the 7th of June our airplane will leave for Annobón, and, when everything is ready, we will start the Expedition as 3C0C.

Our pilot, EA5YN and EC4DX will announce on the Web all the news as they happen, as well as the times when we will be listening in 160m.

We also want to inform you that we will be taking a yagi antenna with 5 elements for 50 Mhz.

Any comments from you will be well received by our pilot ea5yn and ec4dx.

NUEVA INFORMACION DE LA WEB DE 3C0C

Sabemos la importancia de una activación en la banda de 160m desde la isla de Annobón.
Los operadores hemos realizado un gran esfuerzo, tanto físico como económico en preparar esta Expedición, pero lamentablemente por causas ajena a nuestra voluntad no hemos podido ir en el mes de Abril.

Saldremos hacia la isla de Bioko el próximo jueves día 3 de Junio y empezaremos la actividad al siguiente día como 3C9B.
Estaremos todo el tiempo que podamos en radio, aquí recogeremos todas nuestras provisiones para vivir en la isla de Annobón durante 14 días.

El día 7 de Junio nuestro avión partirá rumbo a Annobón, cuando todo este preparado , empezaremos la Expedición como 3C0C.

K9EL/Jhon, estará activo desde Saint Martin /NA-105) del 8 al 17 de junio, su actividad será al estilo vacaciones y saldrá con el indicativo FS/K9EL. Su equipo estará compuesto de un IC-7000 y verticales para 10-80 metros y posiblemente una yagi para los 6 metros, en CW, SSB y RTTY.

JA1XGI/IW8XGI (Haru) estará activo otra vez desde Westwrn Kiribati como T30XG o T30/T32XG, del 3 al 9 de junio. Su actividad será de 6 a 40 metros, incluso en 30/17/12 metros, en CW y modos digitales

3/6 al 8/6 JT MONGOLIA -Actualizado

Los operadores UA9YAB, RW9YW y UA9YPS, estarán activos desde Mongolia con los indicativos JT0YAB, JT0YW y JT0YPS, desde Khoton Nuur Lake, Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, del 3 al 8 de junio. La operación va a ser muy dificultosa debido a las nieves y al mal tiempo reinante, saldrán con 100 watts en todos las bandas y modos, con un dipolo, una A3 y una 5 elementos yagi para los 6 metros, donde pondrán su máximo empeño. Estarán también QRV desde el coche a partir de la frontera mongol con el indicativo JT0YAB/M.

AO3T - WPX CW 2010

Pues ya terminó el concurso. Como os dije en otro post, salí en monoperador monobanda en 10m y la propagación fue magnífica. El sábado la banda estuvo abierta casi todo el día mientras que el domingo se cerró durante dos horas al mediodía, para luego abrirse de nuevo hasta las 18.30 gmt.

En total 30 horas de apertura esporádica en las que el resultado ha sido de:

Prefijos: 496
Puntos: 656.704

No está mal para una pequeña moxon, eh?
