new 6 meters Beacon ZB2SIX/B 50.012,5 MHz


New 6 meter beacon

Hi all,
a new six meter beacon has been set up on the rock, this time it's operating from the Gibraltar Amateur Radio Society's club house.

It's operating on 50.012.5 Mhz.

The beacon consists of a Yaesu FT-857 donated by one of our club members John (ZB2JK), 5 watts output into a temporary inverted V dipole .

The call sign is ZB2SIX/B, in IM76HD.

OZ1DJJ expd. to OX and north NA



Bo, OZ1DJJ will be active again as OX3LX from Greenland in August. According to the tentative schedule published  on  on  his  website (http://geronne.dk/index.php/ox3lx/ox3lx-dxped), he plans to be QRV from Kangerlussuaq (NA-018) on  4-5  August (HF bands and 6 metres) and from Aasiaat Island (NA-134) on 5-9  August (HF bands and maybe some 6m), while  from  around the 15th  until  the 23rd he plans to plans to operate  from either NA-018 (main island)  and/or  NA-243, with a focus on 2m EME and MS. QSL via OZ1PIF.

5A1AL QRV 6 METERS



Abubaker, DL1AL is now QRV as 5A1AL from Tripoli.  He is active on the HF bands plus 6 meters using CW, SSB and PSK.  QSL to home call.

GJ, Jersey Isl. qrv 6 m until 9/August



ON8ZZ/Peter, ON8ZL/Frederick y ON5NQ/Frank, estarán actives de la isla de Jersey (EU-013), con el indicativo MJ/OT9Z, del 2 al 9 de agosto. Su QTH estará ubicado en la estación del  J.A.R.S Headquarters, en La Moye. 3DA0, Swaziland, qrv 6 m 18-27/November


Roger, ZS6RJ and others will be active as 3DA0ET from Swaziland  on 18-27 November, including and M/2 entry in the CQ  WW  CW  Contest. There will be three stations active on 160 - 6  metres  CW  and  SSB, and a fourth station entirely dedicated to RTTY and  PSK.  Complete details will be given in  due course, a  website is currently under construction. VQ9, Chagos Isl., qrv 6 m 12-30/August

W4XP, Chuck, is hoping to activate VQ9XP again from the Chagos Islands between August 12th and 30th. He is anticipating getting on “50-MHz EME using WSJT” and some HF work. QSL direct via W4XP and LoTW. [tnx 50 MHz - The Magic Band - DX]

new beacon LU3EW/B 50.050 MHz

Javier, LU5FF, informs there is a new beacon to listen this autumm when F2 will appear again: 50050 LU3EW/B GF05tc - Exp /b - 5 ele 20W

J45EME qrv 6 meters EME from KM36


Frank DL8YHR will be operating with Carste, DM1CG, from KM36vc as J45EME on August 23, 24 and 25. When his moon is below 20 degrees (on moonrise and moonset), they will be calling CQ in the first sequence on JT65A mode. They will have a 7 element I0JXX yagi and full legal limit on 6m.
