From July 24th to August 9th 2011 a group of German operators will activate Ascension Island (IOTA AF 003, WLOTA 1491 ) from 160 meters to 6 meters as ZD8D. They will also participate in the IOTA-contest last weekend in July. The expedition will be focussed on digital-modes and cw, but phone will play a role as well. Teammembers are Wolf DK1IP, Rainer DL7OR, Gerd DJ4KW, Arno DL1CW and Werner DJ9KH as teamleader. We will try to operate 2 stations simultaneously with Beam-, Quad- and Verticalantennas. If we don't find a sponsor for a transistor-PA, we will operate with 100watts from K3's. On 6m they will use a 2 el. wimo yagi. More info in his web http://www.zd8d.de/index.php?home
