K5ZD info that the raw claimed scores for the WPX CW Contest 2010 are now available online at http://www.cqwpx.com/claimed.htm?mode=cw

"The listing shows raw scores as calculated by the log checking software prior to any checking. This should give participants a good indication of their category placement at the World, Continent, or Country level. Score reductions of 2% to 15% (or more) are possible, so we will have to wait for the log checking process before final results can be announced.

There are 3,520 logs represented. This includes all but 10-15 paper logs that are still in the typing process.

Scores can be sorted by continent and category. A search function is included so you can quickly locate a particular score.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the WPX CW Contest this year. Conditions were not the best, but we still came very close to meeting the record log submissions from last year".

La lista refleja las puntuaciones reclamadas tal como salen calculadas por el programa de chequeo de los logs sin ningún chequeo adicional. De esta manera se puede hacer uno a la idea del resultado aproximado que puede obtener en su categoría, sea a nivel Mundial, Continente, Pais, categoría, etc. Normalmente las puntuaciones sereducen entre un 2% y un 15% (o más) por repetidos, fallos de indicativo o de intercambio, por lo que tendremos que esperar unos meses a tener los resultados finales.

3D2LR qrv 6m 27/9 -7/10

Lance W7GJ will be active from Fiji as 3D2LR from 27 Setember to 7 October on 6 meters EME. That period includes the best days of the month for 6m EME, and the first weekend of the ARRL EME Contest. He will be looking for EU stations on their moonrises and moonsets and will be elevating to look for NA stations during their moonsets during the best days.

CQ VHF CONTEST 2010 JUST FINISHED

Great contest on 6 meters.

Yesterday had some good condx to eastern Europe and today have been opened many hours to central EU. No multihop, just one hop within 1000-2000 Km range. Ended with 347 qsos an 135 grids for 46.845 points.

Best DX with XT2EME (and new one #169) today at 09.42 gmt , 3231 Km.

Have been many hours calling to NA and calling to southern Asia looking for HS0AC without success.

9X qrv 6m from 21/7 - early September

Tom, DL2RUM will be going on a business trip to Kigali, Rwanda, next week, and will remain there until late August-early September with a few interruptions (6-8 days each). CQ WW VHF CONTEST 2010

Este fin de semana se celebra el concurso de VHF de CQ, conocido como CQ WW VHF Contest, concretamente empieza a las 18.00 UTC y termina mañana a las 21.00 UTC. Las bandas a operar son 6 metros y 2 metros, tanto en monooperador como multioperador. El intercambio es simplemente los cuatro primeros caracteres del locator, es decir, IM99, JN01, IL28, etc.

Es una buena oportunidad para trabajar DX, pues en 6 metros todavía hay buenas aperturas de capa E y en 2 metros hay buenas aperturas de tropo al estar en pleno verano.

Dias aburridos en 6m.....

Después de un mes de Junio intenso de aperturas y DX estamos sufriendo un mes de Julio bastante pobre en los 50 MHz. Así y todo he podido trabajar algunos dx:

desde el dia 10 llevamos ya cuatro dias con condiciones probres y irá a peor pues nos vamos acercando al final de la temporada de esporádicas. Por suerte está mejorando el flujo solar recuperando valores de 80 y confiemos que este septiembre se empiece a acercar a niveles de 100.

Si estáis aburridos podéis intentar escuchar en JT65A, ayer las condiciones eran muy buenas y se puede escuchar facilmente a W7GJ en 50.190 MHz.

Worked 9K2YM dxcc #168 on 50 MHz

Este fin de semana ha estado muy activo 9K2YM. Yasser tiene una nueva yagi LFA de 5 elementos, con lo que era de esperar que mejorara su señal. Ayer sábado me pasé todo el día con la antena hacia Kuwait y no se le escuchó. Trabajó muchas estaciones de centro europa pero por aquí nada de nada.

Hoy domingo me he puesto temprano a la faena, a eso de las 7 de la mañana (5 gmt). Antena hacia Kuwait..... La propagación apuntaba bien: SV trabajando JA y HL, por aquí nada, lo normal vaya, luego SM y OH con JA y aquí nada...., a esperar que se abriera la propagación pues estamos a 10.000 Km de Japón y se abre pocas veces (yo he trabajado JA solo 8 veces en los últimos 4 años).

A eso de las 9 de la mañana han empezado a entrar videos flojitos en 49.750 y 48.250. Los de 49.750 son hacia el noreste, dirección JA/BY y los de 48.250 son de oriente medio Irán, Siria, justo en la dirección de Kuwait. Luego han empezado a entrar SVs y LZs. A eso de las 11 de la mañana (09 gmt) ha aparecido Yasser y ha empezado a trabajar estaciones de SP y DL. A las 9.30 gmt han cambiado la propagación y he empezado a escuchar como le llamaban estaciones más lejanas, sorpresa! escuchaba a EA7KW, EA9IB, CT1HZE, CT3HF que le llamaban y trabajaban con señales de s9, y aquí nada de nada. Luego EA6SX y EA5FX, y yo nada!. Ya pensaba que no entraría cuando de repente la señal de video de 48.239 ha subido a s9+30dB y allí ha empezado a escucharse en 50.119 en ssb con señal de s5 - s7, eran las 10.05 gmt, consiguiendo trabajar mi pais número 168 en 6 metros. Worked JW7QIA dxcc # 167 on 50 MHz

Show time! the magic band did it again and suddenly appeared JW7QIA. I worked him easily with 559 reports at 19.22 gmt. He worked a number of EU stations and heard USA too.

La fiesta continua y la lista de paises sigue subiendo, esta vezha caido JW. A las19.15, justo en el descanso del Chile-España, he encendido la radio y he visto en el cluster que JW7QIA estaba trabajando estaciones europeas. Una primera escucha de las balizas y nada. Voy a 50.098,5 y nada. A los pocos minutos oigo como CT1HZE hace un qso en esa frecuencia. Yo pensaba que era Joe cuando para mi sorpresa oigo el qrz de JW7QIA. Le llamo y a la primera ! 559/559 ambos y el pais #167 ha caido. :-)

Todavía me faltan varios que están activos: 9K, HP, TI, YN, KL7, ET, DU, S2, YI, HR, 9M2, 9M6, HS, YB, VK, HL, C6, 4U1ITU,... cual será el próximo? Veremos mañana que tal se comporta la capaE.

Yehawwwww ! this morning is great, with Asia and Africa being worked from EU: BA, JA, BV, DU, EX, UK, XV, A9, ST, etc.

At 07.44 i have worked EX8MLE with 559 signal. It's a new one for me (#166).

At 15.34 worked J28AA on 50.107 Mhz for dxcc # 165. He is still in with 529 - 559 signals. Great conditions this season on 6 meters.

IARU R1 50 MHz contest 2010

Ya ha finalizado el concurso de 6 metros y realmente la banda parecían los 20 metros en un fin de semana de concurso cualquiera de HF. En ocasiones era muy dificil encontrar un hueco donde llamar, QRM, splatters, ruido, la banda llena desde 50.070 hasta 50.300...

Personalmente no me gustan estas situaciones, para ello ya tenemos los concursos de HF, pero a pesar de ello empecé el concurso con ganas y a las dos horas llevaba ya unos 150 QSOs. Entonces empezó una apertura colosal entre Europa y América del Norte y paré los contactos en el concurso para dedicarme a hacer DX. Esa misma tarde trabajé a W4SO, CO8DM, algunos W4, W5 y luego se abrió hacia la costa oeste trabajando a N8GZ (Arizona was#40) y W7CE (WA, was#41).

Estuve un buen rato intentando escuchar a KL7/KB7Q pero no hubo suerte.

Esta mañana la propagación volvió a estar muy larga y he trabajado a JE1BMJ y a BA8AG. He continuado a ratos el concurso, pero siempre vigilando el DX.

Al final he terminado con 282 qso y 470.291 puntos.
