E51E qrv 6m 10/12-5/1

Norman, 5B4AIF plans to be active from Tautu Village, Aitutaki island OC-083 , locator BH01cc, between December 10, 2012 to January 5, 2013. Operating holiday-style from a villa using basic antennas, look for E51E primarily on SSB and RTTY. Some slow CW possible. 

He will have a yagi sponsored by UKSMG that he will use for a beacon. Frequencies on 6 meters will be 50.105 cw, 50.130 ssb.

Z81D, South Sudan, qrv 6m




Diya, Z81D, was qrv yesterday on 6 meters working several EU stations. He is qrv with a dipole and he expects to put a small yagi soon. He was active from 15 to 18 gmt on 50.160 ssb.

H44 / H40 expedition qrv 6 m March 2013

My friend Sigy, DL7DF, who i met in D64K, is preparing a dxpedition to Solomon islands and Temotu islands next March. This is from his web page:

For our next DXpedition, we have chosen two destinations. The first destination the Solomon Islands, H44 . We will stay there from March 8 and 25, 2013. During the time from March 12 to 23, a part of the group will be active from Temotu Island, H40. We are active with several stations on 160m through 6m on CW, SSB. One station on each destination will be exclusively dedicated to RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV.

Our equipment on each destination consists of 4 transceivers (3 x K2, 1 x FT857D), 3 power amplifiers, a lowband vertical for 160/80 m, a deltaloop for 40, a deltaloop for 30, a Spiderbeam for 20/17/15/12/10, a 5 elem. Yagi for 6m, some Beverage antennas as well as some laptop computers
