Going to Comoros next August and qrv 6m!

Yessss, i have joined D64K team  and we will be qrv on 6 m.

I agree with you that August is one of the worst months, esporadic E openings end around August 15th and F2 openings start in Setember, but I think we should give a try. After all, it's the magic band.

In my opinion, this summer will be very similar to 2003. In 2003, 7Q7 beacon, the nearest to D6, was reported the 14, 20, 23, 27 and 28 of August. ZS stations were reported 19, 20, 25, 30. Mean flux was around 110. On 2002 mean flux was much better at 180s, and band was opened to ZS, Z21, 7Q7,V5, 90% of days.

What do I think? I bet that sun flux will be higher than 120 and less than 150, and we have between 25% and 50% to get openings, it means we may have between 2 and 5 openings, including path to JA, DU, YB, 9M, BY, northern VK to east, mediterranean EU and middle east to north, and Caribe and some south american to west. With some E's link we may work Central Europe, too.

North America is out of range and the only way to work you is to use EME. With a 5 elements and KW we may work 5 to 10 stations. With 2 x 5el we may work 20 - 30 stations. And yes, we will be qrv on 6m EME. We are working to decide what antenna use and how to solve the big expenses to send it, any idea, help or donation will be appreciated.

D64K web is now on, look for more news there, www.d64k.com
